I am so excited for our upcoming trip in 2024 to Israel and Europe. Going to Israel is life-changing, as we visit the sites where most of the Bible took place. As a pastor I have always loved teaching where Jesus taught, walking in the City of David, praying in the Garden of Gethsemene, baptizing in the Jordan River, celebrating our risen Lord at the empty tomb and so much more. But next year we are doing a trip that will include all the important sites in Israel, but will be followed by a Mediterranean cruise that will allow us to visit such sites as Ephesus (where Paul pastored for three years), the Isle of Patmos (where John received the Book of Revelation), Athens (where Paul preached at the Acropolis), Corinth (the church to which Paul wrote the most) and Rome (where Paul and Peter were both executed.) All in all we will be experiencing the New Testament in two weeks. I will teach at several sites each day, and we will also have experienced tour guides providing the local flavor. (We are also making it possible for you to join us for only Israel or only Europe, but I really don’t think you want to miss any of this trip!)

As you stop in Jericho to view the ruins of the city conquered by Joshua (Joshua 6:1, 2, 20), in the distance you can also see the traditional site of the Temptation of Jesus (Matthew 4:1-11). Meditate on the events of the Last Supper as you visit the traditional location of the Upper Room (Mark 14:12-26). After lunch, wander through the excavations of the City of David. Explore Hezekiah’s Tunnel, an amazing engineering feat that was dug from either end and met in the middle! (Note: Those who are claustrophobic may want to meet the group at the other end of the tunnel!). Visit the Pool of Siloam, recently uncovered at the foot of the City. Return to your hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
Day 8, May 22 – Jerusalem Tour & Fly to Athens

As Paul spoke, Crispus (chief ruler of the synagogue) and many others believed and were baptized, establishing the church at Corinth to whom Paul later wrote his two epistles. Discover the Archaeological Museum, Market Place and Temples. As you walk among the ruins, stand on the Bema, where the apostle Paul stood before Gallio to face charges brought against him by the Jews. Afterwards, Discover the rich architectural splendor of the ancient city of Athens as your guide introduces you to the world-renowned Acropolis, the Propylaea, the Parthenon and the Erectheum. Stand on Mars Hill as the apostle Paul did when he proclaimed, “I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you”. As you stroll the Agora (ancient marketplace and center of Athenian public life), recall that this was where the Apostle Paul preached “Jesus and the resurrection” to the skeptical Athenians. Also see the House of Parliament, the Presidential Palace and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Return to your hotel in Athens for dinner and overnight.
Day 10, May 24 - Embark on your Cruise & Mykonos

Disembark at Santorini, one of the most beautiful of the Greek islands where picturesque, whitewashed villages topped with brilliant blue domes stand in stark contrast to the sheer drop cliffs overlooking the Aegean Sea.
